Well here in New England it is STILL raining! You try your darnest not to let it get the best of you but, eventually the lack of sun (4 days total in June) goes straight to your mood indicator!
I have tried to stay busy in my shop where things are really starting to come along this week. After cleaning out a good majority of the old junk that was there, its beginning to look much more organized and even starting to resemble a studio space!
Currently I am working on 2 quotes for 2 September Brides, one in 2009 and the other in 2010. I am learning how to use my two new software packages and plan to produce the quotes from those. I am keeping my fingers crossed and hoping it turns out as planned!
While I haven't any flower projects of my own this week, I thought I would share one of my favorites I have seen recently. These arrangements, to me, are super chic and modern. They would work well if you were trying to achieve a modern style and wanted something really unique. The Catch..... they are Carnations! Yup!! I try to tell people that if you do a single type of flower in a large amount, the impact is stunning. So for a Carnation, if you use one color, a unique style, well then... not many people are going to notice its a Carnation. But sadly, when you say Carnation to most people, the look on their face is priceless! So here is what a Carnation can be when someone allows it! Oh and I almost forgot to mention, these arrangements were the entry pieces in the Four Seasons Hotel, Seattle! Now if the Four Seasons can use Carns, so can you!
